Bench & Field was one of the first premium dog foods ever made and originated in 1956. Many show champions were raised on Bench & Field. The name Bench & Field was born from the terms "Bench Show" and "Field Trial." The Westminister Dog Show was one of the original "bench shows" and high end sporting dogs were showing their smarts and endurance at "field trial" events.
